I'm a self-taught baker and photographer, and I don't have a sweet tooth....I have sweet teeth.

I started this blog in my high school years as a way to document my mother's recipes and discovered that I really enjoyed food styling and photography, particularly the dessert kind. Nothing in life brings me greater joy than capturing that perfect fluffy swirl of frosting on a cupcake, then diving into it FACE-FIRST.

I am a firm believer in baking from scratch, but I'm not against using a boxed mix every now and then. All the recipes I share are tried and true favorites, and while most of them are certainly calorie-laden, I do try to throw healthier sweets and treats into the mix. My thighs thanks me for that.

When I am not blogging, you can find me being a wife to the most amazing man ever (okay I'm biased). We watch the Food Network together religiously and he doesn't think it's crazy that dessert is the first thing I look at on a menu. Okay, he does...but he loves me anyway.

I'm also a part-time ultrasound technologist and run a home-based cake decorating business. You can see a gallery of my work here.
